On this men's jacket, those standards mean being made from a 12-ounce, heavyweight, firm-hand 100% ring-spun cotton duck. In addition to the usual breathability, wind-, and snag-resistance of cotton duck, the firm-hand variety is stiffer, extra durable, and has some water-repellency properties as well. This cotton duck jacket also comes with a quilted-flannel lining in the body and quilted-nylon lining in the sleeves. The body lining gives you softness and warmth, so you don't have to layer up. The sleeve lining does the same while also reducing annoying sleeve-snagging. All of this means that you'll be so warm and comfortable while you work that you might be tempted to whistle.
