Item description

Box has some wrinkles or creases on all four sides on the bottom couple of inches. Pre-viewed for quality and plays great on my Sony S-Vhs deck and the cassette is nice and clean. There is a lot of the "audience" silhoutte dead space at the bottom of the frame and actually looks better in a zoom mode on newer widescreen sets plus you can still see the hecklers. Mad scientist Dr. Clayton Forrester (Trace Beaulieu) maroons Mike Nelson on the Satellite of Love, forces him to watch bad movies, and monitors his reactions. Mike and his robotic pals, Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot, save their sanity by wisecracking their way through the movies. Today's experiment is THIS ISLAND EARTH, an uncharacteristically semi-respectable flick. As regular viewers know, the jokes and snide remarks come fast and in bunches, but with lot's of gay jokes and some slightly ruder material (it's rated PG-13). I laughed when the characters in glass tubes on the spaceship farted and I liked it when the film breaks and we have to wait for it to get fixed. Not all of the jokes work, but the ones that do will be remembered and repeated often. Audience participation is inevitable making this a great Halloween party tape or some other weekend themed event with friends for background.
