We believe we are being too picky and that this spot is where the item was completed and finished off by the manufacturer, but there is a small indentation on the side of the plate. It still looks to have the manufacturer's gold paint over the irregularity, and the tiny indentation feels smooth, as it is not a chip. When looking at the item head on, you can barley see it (see picture #1). It is on the right side on the lower half underneath the middle of the plate. Anyway, it is there, and so we are mentioning it.
