She was notably a principal artist at the Metropolitan Opera from 1951 through 1974. Richard Verreau, was a French-Canadian operatic tenor, particularly associated with the French and Italian repertories. Theodor Uppman was an American operatic baritone. He is best known for his creation of the title role in Benjamin Britten's opera Billy Budd.
