Item description

MAPLE LEAF GARDENS: FIFTY YEARS OF HISTORY by Stan Obodiac Van Nostrand Reinhold Ltd., First Edition, 1981 Condition: About Fine in Near Very Good dust jacket Maple Leaf Gardens was built in 1931 to host the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team (which it did until 1999). But it has also been used for other sports events and for opera, ballet, circuses, skating extravaganzas, concerts, political and religious rallies and more. This book covers all of it during its first 50 years. Except for some spine end wrinklng and the most minor corner wear, the book is in fine condition. The jacket has some wear on the extremities, a few small cover scratches and light rubbing and a crease on the unclipped front flap, but is still basically complete.
