This listing is for 5 fresh unrooted cuttings Magenta Double Flower Purslane (Portulaca oleracea) is a hardy fast growing trailing succulent with plump paddle shaped leaves. The double layered flowers are bright with a magenta pink bloom. The flowers close up at night and open up in daylight. Purslane loves sun and prefers to be in well draining soil. Purslane is a fast growing plant and can be multiplied through cuttings. Cuttings can be rooted directly in soil. It works as a ground cover, in a hanging basket, in mixed arrangements, fairy gardens, or even rock gardens!! This plant is suitable for xeriscaping. It does well in high heat, humidity, droughts, full or part sun. They spread like a creeping ground cover. Can be kept outside year round in zones 9-11 or indoors in a sunny window.
