Item description

In one meeting of my quilt guild, we played a game involving small pieces of fabric, such as 2" squares and 2" strips, and everyone left with a small collection of them. Now when I get down to scraps like this, they generally get discarded as being too small for any useful purpose as far as my work is concerned. However, here I was with a bunch of them, and I challenged the membership to make something with them, and applied my usual techniques to do so myself, with a miniature work of art. I added a layer of thin gauze to help hold it all together, and added a border with one of the strips. Unlike most of my art work, this piece is bordered by a more traditional quilt binding. It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
