Item description

Laserdisc Philadelphia Experiment, The 1984 Michael Pare, Nancy Allen My family has a huge media collection. Since the early 80s, when my Dad purchased his first video player, our collection had grown by leaps and bounds. My Dad, a huge film buff who collected films initially on 16mm film, purchased tapes, first on Betamax, then VHS, Laserdisc and finally on DVD. Let me just say that my Dad was born in 1930, grew up during the great Depression and lived for the movie serials that ran in installments every week at the local theatre. He loved westerns, war movies (he was a Korean Vet) science fiction and anything action oriented. So, you will notice a huge amount of films in the genres mentioned above. My parents are gone now, siblings have moved away but the collection is still complete, on the custom built-in shelving units that my brother designed and installed. Now, I'm in the process of de-cluttering the house, getting rid of items I've not used or needed in years. These films have not been played in years. They have been stored vertically and have not really been handled let alone played since the 1990s. In an effort to allay any future claims of "item not as described", I will list these films as in "Good" condition. You can be the judge, as I've photographed the sleeve of the disc, the interior sleeves and the disc themselves whenever possible. Those laserdiscs that are still sealed have only the front and back of the disc photographed. Please examine the photos carefully as what you see is what you'll get. Most of these discs are priced less than half what they originally were purchased for. Back then, if you wanted director's cuts, a director's commentary, deleted scenes and other extras we take for granted on DVD and Blu-Ray today, you had to fork out more than $50 for a single film. The pricing on these discs is going to be a little higher, as they are in very good condition, and will be shipped in mailers made specifically for Lasersdiscs and Record Albums. Ironically enough, most of these discs are mine, with less than 25 belonging to my Dad. Of course, shipping within the continental US is free, via Media mail or First Class postage, whichever is cheaper. I do have a one day handling policy, but I do work, so I try to get it to the post office within 24 hours of payment, (except weekends and holidays). Tracking information will be sent to you via email when the mailing label is generated. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
