Natural black solid opal set in solid white gold with diamonds halo around! opal is approx 15mmx11mm. the opal has ?lizard skin? like or colorful ?scales? harlequin pattern. it slightly translucent against flash light - please see last photo. first 4 photos in day light in shade. in any light it has a strong flashes. opal is solid - not doublet or triplet. it also does not react on water as Ethiopian or Velo opals. it has high brightness - please see photos. it is made of solid 14k white gold and has 2 hallmarks. has sparkly diamonds around.you can se from photos the diamonds are white and have no yellow shade. usually only white diamond are set in white gold or platinum. yellowish would be set into yellow gold to hide the yellow shade and make them look whiter. the ring is in EXCELLENT vintage condition and can be worn or gifted opal has excellent polish and smooth and has no cracks/nicks/wear or crazing. set secure and multiple prongs hold it well!
