Item description

THE PRICE OF GLORY by William M. Lamers Harcourt, Brace World, First Edition, 1961 Condition: Very Good+ in Good dust jacket This biography of General William S. Rosecrans, U.S.A. whose life story had heretofore been distorted by a disastrous defeat at Chickamauga which haunted the memory of one of the North's most brilliant strategists. The author spent almost a decade researching and writing this book. 499 pages, including eight maps. A bumped cover corner and some other light exterior defects, some tiny stains on top page edges and a light erasure on the ffep. Firm binding and mostly white pages. The jacket has tears, chipping, edge wear, some abrasions and a small stain. A scarce book which would make a nice addition to a collection of Civil War books.
