Vintage Color Chrome Postcard, circa 1960s. Depicting the Roger Deering Outdoor Painting Studio on Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport, Maine. Published by Arundel Color Lab. Divided back, unused. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in excellent condition. Comments: Roger L. Deering was one of America's foremost sea and landscape artists who captured the charm of New England's many moods. He was born in 1904 in Waterboro, Maine and died in 1980 in Biddeford, Maine. At the time of his death Deering was a resident of Ocean Ave. in Kennebunkport, Maine. He owned and operated a studio, gallery and school in Kennebunkport. He attended the Portland Museum and School of Fine Arts, and also studied at the Anson Cross School of Painting in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, the Wayman Adams School in Elizabethtown, New York, the George Elmer Brown School in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and the Aldro Hibbard School in Rockport, Maine.
