IQ2066 GABRIEL LUSTRE LOOPS THE 12-M-HIGH CHANDELIER DESCRIPTION: A proprietary, concealed aluminum alloy fastening system reinforced by screws connects each shade to an internal, central chrome tube that wraps the stainless steel cable. The tube also acts as a reflector, enhancing reflectivity. The inner crystal surface of each shade features a proprietary texture that simultaneously refracts and diffuses light. The piece features over 800 Swarovski pieces suspended in loops from the ceiling like a luminous transparent chain. It comprises three interlacing strands, each made of hundreds of Swarovski crystals illuminated by luminous LED light-sources that diffuse a gentle, continuous, and encircling light. This project forms part of Swarovski’s major program of cultural support and ongoing patronage of art and design, and this work will enrich these historic surroundings whilst preserving the unique nature of the space.
