They are made to go on the outside of a window, bumper, fender etc, can be made to go on the inside upon request (inside application will make it harder to see from the outside, especially if you have tinted windows). The pictures show the decal in white, if you choose a different color the white shown in the pictures will be that color. If you are putting it on a vehicle window a lighter color works best. Darker colors do not show up very well on vehicle windows, even if they are not tinted. Can be applied to any smooth surface, there is no background so the American flag or the black background shown in the pictures is not part of the decal, the surface the decal is applied to will be the background. Made of high quality 5~7 year vinyl, that will not fade or crack, the NEON colors are meant to be used indoors and will fade quickly if applied outdoors in the weather.
