M.I.Hummel / Goebel "I Wonder" Figurine HUM #486/TMK-6 Club Member Exclusive 1990-91 • This adorable young Hummel girl with braided hair and ribbons is carrying her doll and book, she appears to be in great thought with her finger raised • She was first modeled by master sculptor Helmut Fischer in 1988 from an original drawing by Sister M.I. Hummel • A club exclusive piece, it measures approx. 5-1/4" high with 2-1/2" round base, it is wonderfully handcrafted with lots of color and fine detailing • The Hummel signature is on top of base, the underside has mold #486 and incised 1988 copyright date, in addition, it has the half circle backstamp with a flying bumblebee and the special decaled club inscription "Exclusive Edition 1990-91 M.I. Hummel Club" • Item is in very good condition apart from some scratching on the girl's hair near braid (see 2nd photo), there are NO visible chips, cracks, crazing, or repair • Purchased directly from the Goebel/Hummel company in original Hummel Club box and includes certificate/small pamphlet • Makes a great display piece or addition to any Goebel/Hummel collection!
