Hosta 'Loyalist' A wonderful white centered hosta... A reverse sport of 'Patriot'. Hosta 'Loyalist' features dark green margins with pure white centers. The leaves are slightly wavy and twisted with the tips coming to a distinct point. This beauty is of heavy substance, a tetraploid that is slug resistant. Considered by many to be the best white centered hosta as it does not burn out or melt in the summer heat - WE AGREE! A strong grower. The light lavender flowers are held up on 20" scapes, appearing just above the foliage. The flower stems are creamy white, adding another layer of interest to an already alluring plant. A variety that should be in every collection. This hosta is very similar to 'Paul Revere' and 'Fire and Ice'. All three hostas are reverse sports of "Patriot".
