Marlin Pinto is a Zuni/Hopi carver who is especially well known for his Koshare Clowns, although he carves a variety of kachina dolls. This gorgeous museum quality kachina doll was hand carved out of top grade cottonwood and hand painted with dyes made from natural materials off the reservation. The colors are crisp and the details are precise. This rendition by Marlin depicts the Left Handed Hunter in traditional wardrobe of leather cape and boots with colorings of the koshare clown in black and white outfit. He holds the bow in one hand and a knife in the other with a quiver of arrows on his back.
