This 9-3/4 x 11-3/4 UK edition (larger than the US edition) and printed on heavy stock paper, each issue contains 32 pages (including the covers) of articles and b/w and color illustrations, maps and pictures . Originally, it was to consist of six 16 part volumes (96 parts), but two volumes covering weapons, significant events, and the the period just after the war were added bringing the total to 128 (the last two issues were indexes).
