Item description

Pre-viewed for quality and played great on my Sony vcr. Cassette is nice and clean with a store branded security sticker on the right endcap assuring you of first generation quality of this first issue on home video. Box has decent color but was opened from the bottom instead of the side. So a long strip of scotch tape runs down that right edge sealing it off. It also has a small liner lift on the lower left which has a piece of tape that wraps around over a small round sticker on the spine with a number. The back also has a small liner lift on the lower right. (see photos). Only available as a pricey Criterion collection video which is the same full screen aspect ratio here and in Black White too so not a lot to gain with it. Robert Montgomery stars as a boxer who also plays the saxophone and flies. When his plane crashes he is sent to Heaven, but it turns out that he wasn't meant to die yet. A heavenly official, Mr. Jordan (Claude Rains) gets him a new body, that of a millionaire about to be murdered by his wife and her boyfriend. This Columbia release, one of Hollywood's best fantasies, was nominated for seven Oscars.
