Item description

The Henna Plant ~Lawsonia inermis~ is a drought tolerant shrub or small tree, standing 5 to 20 ft tall (1.5 to 6 m) native to parts of Africa and India Henna is a natural dye which is produced from the leaves of the plant with a wide variety of uses and has recently become popular as a temporary tattoo. Plants will not take frost, but do well in desert-like conditions. Easily container grown. Water only when the soil becomes dry. Henna prefers a hot climate with long droughts. Let your henna plant’s soil get dry, then give it plenty of water all at once. Henna is a easy plant to grow and will make for a perfect house plant. Sow the seeds in well tilled soil. Alternatively, plant in a soil mixture suitable for cacti/succulents.
