Additional Details ------------------------------ Product description: Our Lady Peace's Smashing Pumpkins-damaged third album connected with disaffected youth, though the band's emotional workouts--and especially the over-the-top screeching of singer Raine Maida--make Billy Corgan sound positively well-adjusted. The Toronto combo works together fluidly, however, occasionally incorporating subtle melodies in quirky pop songs like "Annie" and "Stealing Babies" and adding cool keyboard breaks in "Is Anybody Home?" Sure, tracks like "Consequence of Laughing" sound like they were lifted intact from a Stone Temple Pilots album, but for the most part OLP are successful at spinning their own sound.
