This handmade copper pendant is a square diamond shaped frame wire wrapped with red and metallic glass beads. The square diamond frame is carefully shaped and hammered by hand to flatten and strengthen. Fine gauge wire is used to wrap an interlocking pattern of two-holed red/copper brick beads and small metallic copper glass beads into the frame. The pendant hangs from an 18” (princess length) copper-plated brass chain with handmade copper clasp. It is not treated with a lacquer or wax. Copper naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny. Slow the oxidization process by wiping your copper jewelry with a soft clean cloth before and after each use to keep it clean. You can easily clean oxidized copper jewelry and return it to bright and shiny by soaking it in a mixture of lemon juice and salt for 30-60 seconds, rinse with water, and dry. Try it with a penny.
