These fascinating images were taken from the north wall of the Grand Temple of Egyptian god Osiris. There were part of the artwork in the pronaos - the entrance hall, leading to an inner chamber in his temple. These illustrations are from Monuments de l'Egypte et de la Nubie (1835-1845) published by French explorer and Egyptologist, Jean Francois Champollion. He was the first to decipher the scenes he discovered on the walls of Egyptian temples and tombs.
