The wood armrest of the chair is broken on one side, as can be seen in the photos. The pieces are all present with the chair, but it will need to be repaired. The chair has exquisite carved details on the arms and barley twist legs and armrest supports. The chair frame is made of solid wood, although I am unsure of the type of wood it is made from. The upholstery on the chair is also in wonderful condition, with no holes or tears. I am sure that it has been reupholstered at some point, and this upholstery is not original to the chair. The chair has a sort of sleigh back curve at the top of the back support. There are some very light surface scratches and scuffs on the wood finishes. The chair is 32.5? tall at the top of the back, is 28.5? wide across the arms, 26? wide inside the arms across the mid portion of the seat, 21? deep at the seat, 25? deep total, 28? tall at the armrests, 17? tall at the seat. The bottom lining of the chair is also in good condition, but it is just beginning to tear loose in a few small areas.
