Item description
Hard to find adventure of exploration in the Far North, after London and Robert Service. Library bound in blue/gray buckrum, properly-deaccessioned with expected stamps, labels, paste downs, tags, marks and perforations. Map endpapers; black-and-white frontispiece drawing. Adventure novel set in Hudson Bay region--rivers, bears, huskies. The author lived in Providence, Rhode Island but wrote many adventure novels based in the far north, partly due to the influences of growing up in New York and exploring the Adirondacks before it had been "converted to a glorified country club. . ."
