(4) Four Antique Cabinet Card and Carte de Visite (CDV) Photographs. They include two CDVs of George Ephraim Robbins (1860-1930), one CDV of his wife Roselina (Rosalina) Hayward. Brown, and one large cabinet photo of them together. The two CDVs of George were taken in the Lewis studio in Hudson, Massachusetts. The other photographs are not attributed to a studio or location. We know that George's middle name was Ephraim because it is written on the back of a photo of his mother Lucinda Sawyer Hale Robbins which is also in our collection and sold separately. His brothers included Charles H. Robbins (1867-1938) and John Frank Robbins (1870-1952). Their children included Lizzie Lucinda Robbins Wetherbee and Warren Brown Robbins. Roselina was the daughter of George Hayward Skinner Brown. The largest cabinet photo measures 6 x 8. The CDVs measure the standard size of 2.5 x 4. The smaller CDV of Rosalina is a bit smaller because it has been trimmed. Condition: These are original photographs, not copies or reproductions. They are in very good to excellent condition. Comments: These photos originally came as part of a group photo lot of Robbins family photographs (each sold individually) which included Lucinda Sawyer Hale Robbins, Lucia E. Rogers Robbins, George Ephraim Robbins, Roselina (Rosalina) Hayward Brown Robbins, Charles Henry Robbins, John Frank Robbins, Lizzie Lucinda Robbins Wetherbee, Carlotta Young Stone Robbins, and Warren Brown Robbins. Many of the photographs were taken in studios in Massachusetts. The Robbins line was inter-related to the Brickett / Stone / Brown families and some of their photos may also be found separately in our collections.
