Item description
Hand carved Chinese preban ivory chop of a mystical beast, in the form of a dragon tortoise. From store we used to operate in SF Chinatown from the 50s to 80s. The chop measured 3" tall, 2 1/2" wide and 3" deep. Marked Qian Long period, but probably from the early to mid 1900. Excellent condition, no damage or repair. Guaranteed to be genuine African elephant ivory.
