This medal shows an image of Schiller in profile and has his date of birth and death inscribed on the face. On the reverse the date is May of 1905 commemorating the 100th anniversary of his death. There is a pin attached to the top of the ribbon imprinted with Philadelphia. What I could find is that there was a statue unveiled in Philadelphia commemorating the life of Schiller and that is most likely when this medal was distributed. The reverse is inscribed in German. It is 1 1/4 inches in diameter and made of white metal. The ribbon is not perfect and the pin back is not perfect but certainly acceptable collectible condition.
