FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT: SELECTED DRAWINGS PORTFOLIO, 1982 VOL 3, ORIG BOX A159/500 This is the third and final volume published by Horizon / ADA Edita between 1977 and 1982. This is copy number 159 of 500 copies. The three volumes offer a display of Wright's work of extraordinary magnitude. Each volume, however, stands alone as a significant representation of Wright's work. The volume is a 22" by 16" folio, weighing roughly 18 pounds. The near fine clamshell case is of terracotta cloth, and the plates are presented on archival papers, covered with a tissue overlay. There is no evidence that all plates have ever been examined. Some discoloration to edges of first 4 or 5 plates, otherwise, contents is near fine in a near fine cardboard slipcase (one corner bumped), no stains and Elephant Folio. Volume 3. Limited edition of 500 copies (A001-A500). The present copy is number A159. 50 mounted color plates on heavy card stock, all wrapped in glassine wrapper and set into a heavy terracotta cloth covered clamshell with ivory latches. Housed in the original cardboard slipcase and then placed in publisher's original shipping carton - box dimensions: 23 1/2" H x 18"W). Frank Lloyd Wright was a highly influential American architect (1867-1959) whose mastery of space, form, and human-centered design revolutionized the field of architecture and earned him a place among the greatest thinkers and artists of the 20th century. Wright is best known for nature-harmonious edifices such as Fallingwater and the Guggenheim Museum.
