Item description

The Framingham, Massachusetts Choral Society and the Cambridge Festival Orchestra - Beethoven: Mass in C Major. CFS FG-F68-3A/B stereo 12" LP record album. Recorded December 15, 1968 at Nevins Hall, Memorial Building, downtown Framingham. Conducted by John Oliver. Assistant conductor Terry Decima. Condition: Record is VG+. Comes in original generic white cover. Comments: Originally named the Framingham Choral Society, the Chorale was founded by a small group of Framingham residents on a budget of just $62! Ever since, except for a brief time during World War II, the Chorale has rehearsed and performed in Framingham and nearby communities. During its long history, the Chorales size has fluctuated between 40 and 100 singers. Its performances showcase a wide range of both classical and contemporary choral works. Today it is known as the Heritage Chorale.
