A novel adapted to the 1940 Mervyn LeRoy directed film starring Robert Taylor and Norma Shearer in which an American comes to Germany to find and help his actress mother escape from death row in a concentration camp. An attractive film and novel collectible. Former owner's vintage name to the upper edge of the front end-paper, lower corner tips minutely bumped, else near fine, square and firm in polished black linen with bold red embossed titles and decoration to the front cover and to the spine, in a very good dust jacket with slight rubbing, nicks and tears to the spine folds and flap folds, three chips to the shelf-edges, chips and creases to the upper and lower spine edges, film photo-still of Robert Taylor and Norma Shearer to the front panel.
