Brand new factory sealed dvd double feature that is Out Of Print (OOP) and no longer being manufactured. Both films are in Black White.
A second audio track has been added to reproduce the drive-in experience. Distorto sound (low-fidelity) feature delivers the soundtrack of the film to your left speaker only (car window speaker). Other "sounds" of the Drive-In experience are heard from the remaining channels, you'll feel like you are really there!
Also, this nostalgic disc features the original Drive-In extras that we all remember, including trailers, cartoons, countdown clock, intermission, concession stand ads and more!
GIANT GILA MONSTER: Wilfred Cline's slick cinematography and the passable special effects of Ralph Hammeras result in this being a far better film than it might appear. A monster (apparently from nowhere) feeds on trees, wrecks trains, and breaks into a teenage dance hall, until it meets up with grizzly sheriff Fred Graham in New Mexico. Rock music, hot rods and unintentional laughs from the director of the 'Killer Shrews'. Produced by Ken Curtis who became Festus on TVs 'Gunsmoke'.
WASP WOMAN: Directed by Roger Corman it was the first production from his Filmgroup company. Like so many rejuvenation films of the twenties, it takes for its premise the search for eternal youth and its costs. Susan Cabot is fine as the cosmetic queen who, worried about her wrinkles, turns to demented scientist Michael Marks and his wasp enzymes. The predictable results sees Cabot beautiful again until after-effects turn her into a ludicrous bug-eyed monster at night probably inspired by the previous year's the 'Fly'. She murders some of her employees and is eventually pushed through a window, only to discover that she can't fly.
