Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the 1920's silent film dramatic comedy, THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES, released in 1928 by United Artists and directed by D.W. Griffith. The film features Belle Bennett, Phyllis Haver, Jean Hersholt, Sally O'Neil, and William Bakewell in the roles originally filled by Mary Alden, Donald Crisp, Fay Tincher, Lillian Gish, and Robert Harron, respectively. The image depicts a scene near the climax of the film as The Mother (Belle Bennett) looks deeply into the eyes of her husband (Jean Hersholt), who has been having an affair with a young blonde gold-digger, as he takes him back once he realizes his mistake while their children (Sally O'Neil and William Bakewell) watch the reconciliation between their parents. This vintage original lobby card is unrestored and in near-fine condition with a water stain in the top right corner that does not affect the image area and a small chip on the top left corner.
