Item description

This beautiful painting exudes a sense of peace and tranquility and the timelessness of the spirit. Painted in 1876, it transports the viewer back while reminding us that some things, the important things, never change. Oil on canvas 20" x 31". Outside frame dimensions are 27" x 38". Notice the last photo. Unfortunately, the photo is marred by reflection, but I want you to see that the canvas has been lined by a top professional conservator with a clear Mylar support. It is attached with a Beva adhesive that does no harm and is completely reversible if ever desired. The Mylar was perforated so the canvas can breathe. Over the years, when a painting was wrinkled and need support, I had this done. It is so superior over linen because it is clear, and you can see through to the actual canvas. The painted needed very little other restoration see report below. FREE SHIPPING! Charles J.
