I have always had this item on top of the door frame or window frame in the house and it looks nice there and doesn't take up shelf space, although it is cute on a shelf as well. It is signed Libby '88. "A Home Without A Cat Is Only A House" is hand painted on the piece with a couple of hearts surrounding a cat which is cut from wood and hand painted. There is a hook on the back to hang on a wall. At the highest part it is 3 1/2 inches tall and is a little over 5 inches wide and nearly an inch deep including the cat that is glued on the front.
