You have made the wise choice to seek out a solution which allows you to rebuild your regulator instead of replace it. I've seen the newer regulators they have come out with. They now utilize a thin rubber diaphram to manage the pressure. How long will that last? Not long. Also rebuilds air compressor regulator part numbers: VT036100AV, WL029700AV, WL017601AV and WL017600AV. Is the regulator manifold on your air compressor leaking? Have you tried to find a rebuild kit for it (which consists of a couple of O-rings and a plastic part or two), only to find that you have to buy an entire manifold? Well, I did too. What I have here for my fellow Americans is a rebuild kit that I researched and put together to save some money while repairing the issue. Instructions: 1. Unscrew cap 2. Remove spring 3. Remove plunger 4. Use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew and remove the air regulator valve. Unscrew carefully, there is a black rubber seal and a spring on the back side, so take care as you don't want to lose them. 5. Reassemble in same order on your compressor manifold. 6. The effort to turn the knob on your rebuilt regulator manifold may be increased. This is normal.
