Item description

Pre-viewed for quality and plays great on my Emerson vcr deck. Cassette is nice and clean with a small store branded security sticker on the left endcap assuring you of first generation quality. Canadian import is Out Of Print and never put to dvd. A mystery thriller who-dunnit in the style of Mike Hammer or Philip Marlowe. The year is 1949; the place, a quiet New England town. A newspaper reporter becomes interested in a bizarre axe-murder that took place almost 40 years earlier. His assignment is clear--whatever happened to the young girl charged with her parents' murder? While investigating the story, the reporter mysteriously disappears. His wife hires a private detective (August Schellenberg) to locate her husband. He thinks the reporter simply ran away, maybe with another woman. However, as he searches for clues, a series of unexplained murders start to happen and the obvious turns into the unexpected. The case becomes more and more perplexing until finally, in a unique and shock ending, the murder is unmasked--Or is he?
