This glass basket looks green in some light, but it appears to be more aqua that anything else. The pattern is a diamond like pattern which could be one of a couple of North American glass companies. There are no obvious chips, but there is a rough spot along the brim. I ran my hand along the entire rim. The brim resembles a flat ribbon like pattern around the diamonds that is almost 1/2 inch wide. There are a couple of little bubbles representing imperfections during manufacturing in the diamond pattern. There are two thin scratches near each other under the bend in the basket. You can see them if you hold the basket up to the light. The basket handle is made of a metal. It is unlikely silver has it has not tarnished in all the many years I have owned it. It can be removed off the glass knobs protruding from the sides. I cannot find any markings whatsoever on the basket to indicate the manufacturer. I have never seen this color of glass. From edge to edge of the turned lip the piece is 9 inches. To the top of the handle it is almost 9 inches. The height to the highest part of the glass where the handle joins is almost 5 3/4 inches.
