This 1968 limited edition blue and white porcelain Christmas collector plate is by Bing and Grondahl and made by Royal Copenhagen Porcelain. It is titled “Christmas in Church”. The plate shows a scene of a church Christmas service with people sitting in the pews. The candles are lit and there is a star at the front of the altar. An Old Danish Sailing Ship floats in the air at the top of the church. Below the scene at the bottom of the plate is printed “Jule Aften 1968”, which translates to “Christmas Eve 1968”. On the back of the plate is the B G Mark with the castle and the words Kyobenhavh Denmark. The title in Danish reads “I Kirke Juleaften.” The plate measures 7 ” in diameter and is in excellent condition and there are four pre-drilled holes for hanging.
