Antique Carved Moss in Snow Jadeite Sterling Gilt Filigree 2 Brooches Earrings Full Description This listing is for a beautiful parure including antique carved “moss in the snow” jadeite set in hand made sterling filigree and gold gilt. The parure includes pair of dangle screw back earrings and 2 brooches. The pieces are expertly hand constructed with hand carved beautiful green and white jadeite set in hand made delicate sterling silver with gold gilt settings. The jadeite pieces have a face and the shoulders of a laughing robed man, maybe a monk. I am not an expert on antique jadeite but I am told by the family this jadeite is “old mine” jadeite. The screw back earrings measure approx 2” x 5/8”; and jadeite piece measures approx 22x18mm at the largest points. The 2 brooches measure approx 1 1/8” x 7/8” each. There are actually two pieces of jadeite in each brooch, larger in the back and smaller in the front. The largest jadeite measures approx 20x15mm each. This is an exquisite set. It came to me in the same estate group you see most of my fine jewelry listings. They are in excellent antique condition, especially for their age.
