This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE BANGLE BRACELET that was made in the LATE VICTORIAN period of c1900 from 18K GOLD with PLATINUM for the diamond settings. The top of the bangle has a bow design that is centrally set with 1 OLD EUROPEAN CUT DIAMOND that weighs approx. .70 ct., This diamond measures 6.2 mm at the widest diameter and it has a large culet. It has a 12 prong setting, but it also has a bezel chip so one prong is off set to not be on the chip. This is not visible to the naked eye when wearing the bracelet and the diamond is securely set. The bracelet is additionally set with 50 ROSE CUT DIAMONDS that weigh approx. 1.0 ctw. All of the diamonds are J color with SI to I clarity and the total weight is approx. 1.70 ctw. The rose cut diamonds are in the .01 to .04 ct spread range and they have some bezel nicks and chips, as expected of rose cuts from this period, but not visible when wearing. If you are not familiar with rose cut diamonds, please ask any questions about them prior to purchase. The oval opening of the bangle measure 2-5/16? left too right by 2? north to south. It has a tension hook closure and a solid feeling total weight of 21.3 grams. The gold has a very minor bit of patina. A ONE OF A KIND FIND!
