Item description

Unknown Cutter Nice Rose or Sugar Bowl with fans making the rim, crosshatching and miter cut pyramids Weighs a solid 1.1 pounds, Fluoresces Green Measures 4" diameter at the widest and 2 1/4" tall Opening is 2 3/4" inside diameter Walls measure 3/8" thick at the rim and up to 1/2" thick at the center Nice ground and polished base with minimal wear I have not noted any chips or nicks especially at the rim where the fan "blades" form the rim I am inclined to believe this is more of a floral / rose bowl over a sugar because there are no nicks at the rim that I see and, in the internal bottom of the bowl and the fact there are no internal scratches that are caused by spoon wear No Signature Display or Table Ready! The American Brilliant Period of Cut Crystal was generally cut between the years of 1876 to the 1920's and met a rapid decline when the lead used in making brilliant glass was needed for World War 1. Unique to America, the craftsmen of American Brilliant Period Cut Glass era, created their own special place in the history of glassmaking. Highly collectible, from the making the glass to the craftsmanship of hand cutting the crystal, this period was like no other in the world of which we will never see again. No other types of glassmaking represents the beauty of crystal in its most elegant form. 14 Day Returns: To prevent delays in returns, this item can be visually inspected so we do ask that if you have a reason to return that you let us know why and within 3 DAYS of receipt...Thank you!
