MARK MEUNIER by Edward Feit. This emerging, bright young talent from New England paints egg-tempera paintings of

ANN ANGEL BISSELL: PAINTING NATURE'S DETAILS IN OIL by Eunice Agar. This Pennsylvania artist, who is currently living in

depth description of her working procedure is given.
THE WATERCOLOR PAGE: ANN SULLIVAN. This Massachusetts artist says her favorite subject is people. Here she discusses
the joy of painting in watercolor.
MAKING PICTURES THAT EXPRESS YOUR FEELINGS by Ted Smuskiewicz. "Good compositional principles alone do not make
a strong painting. A strong painting begins with a strong idea," says this Illinois artist and teacher, who goes on to
describe in this article how he estab- lishes the subject matter and mood of a painting and how he uses compositional
devices to convey those ideas and emotions.
KEITH ACHEPOHL by Mark E. Stegmaier. For this distinguished Iowa artist, the most appropriate response to Egyptian
architecture was a series of abstract compositions of textures, colors, and forms. Some of his colorful etchings,
lithographs, and watercolors are shown.
TECHNIQUES OF OIL PASTEL: JOAN KERRY by Charles Movalli. Oil pastel is a relatively new medium, but many artists are
