Item description

500 Seeds Tomato Beefsteak Heirloom Organic NON GMO Deliciously sweet, large fruit, red tomatoes can be used in salads or served on BLT sandwiches. Beefsteak tomatoes are by far the most popular type of home garden tomato grown in North America. These tomatoes grow fairly quickly, produce huge (up to 2 pounds!) fruits, and are relatively easy to grow. They are not often available in the grocery store as they are not well-suited to mechanized growing on a large scale. High in Vitamins A and C. To keep fruit clean and easier to pick, support with stakes or cages. Tomatoes require at least 1 inch of water per week. Start seed indoors in a sunny location 2 weeks prior to warm weather. Seed can be sown directly into garden when soil is warm. Transplant outdoors in full sun when seedlings display 4-6 leaves and weather is warm. Zones 3-10.
