The Mexican Blue Fan Palm or Brahea Armata is a very "classy" single trunk palm with a semi-self shedding trunk. It is very slow growing, especially when young. At around 15 years it may only be around 5-8ft. It is extremely cold hardy down to -9 or lower and also copes well with extreme temperatures and arid conditions, liking a position in full or partial sun. Plant in well draining soil and generally water infrequently. It has stiff fan shaped leaves which are a striking silver/blue colour.This is an amazingly beautiful and dignified palm.
