Item description

Winged bean is also known as Asparagus pea, Winged pea, Four Angled bean, Manila bean, Princess bean, Dara dham bala, Goa bean, and Dragon bean. Almost every part of this tropical plant is edible: The beans (used as a vegetable), the leaves (cooked like spinach), the roots (similar to potato), and the dried seeds (used for flour). Need more seeds? 1-OZ large packet has about 100 seeds, and 4-OZ jumbo packet has about 400 seeds. Maturity: Approx. 75 days Planting season: Late spring/early summer Germination rate 80% Please do google around for winged bean germination tips, as it is not an easy seed to germinate for the novice gardeners. The last pic was taken on June 4 2020, showing six out six seeds germinated indoor within a week, using just the heating pad and grow light, without any seeds pre-soaking or sanding effort.
