‘Mojito’ Elephant Ear 2 - 1 Gallon Plants Colocasia esculenta Shipping from Florida – not Indonesia or Hawaii – your plants will be received in good condition. Incredible contrasting black and green colors adorn its leaves. This colorful effect is matched with light green stems streaked with dark purple that fade up to pink. There is nothing else like it, a must have in any tropical program. Hardy in Zone 7b and higher, but in cooler zones just bring in over the winter and place in a cool basement. You can expect at least 4 feet in height and when he is happy 5 feet is quite reasonable. This beauty delights in full sun to full shade. Need a bog / water plant? He is happy to live with wet feet or moist soil. He is a fast grower. You can expect him to reach his full height by the end of the first summer. His clump will become larger each year. These plants have been growing in 1 gallon pots and have healthy root systems. I will moisture pack him for his time in transit, and possibly cut back some of his leaves to ensure his quick establishment in her new home.
