Item description

Washington hawthorn (Crataegus phaenopyrum) 2-3 year old plant, 18-24 inches tall well branched. Plant will be shipped soil less with roots wrapped in wet media during it's dormancy October through April. After it break it's dormancy May - it will be potted in soil and will be shipped in small plastic container with soil. Plant will be trimmed or folded to the size of the shipping box 22 inches if it outgrows it during the summer. Crataegus phaenopyrum, commonly called Washington hawthorn, is native to Missouri where it is primarily found in open ground, thickets and wood margins in the Ozark region of the state (Steyermark). It is noted for its attractive flowers and foliage, bright red fruits and fall color. It is a small, low-branching, deciduous tree that typically grows 25-30’ tall with a rounded crown. Thorny stems are clad with shallowly lobed, serrate, glossy dark green leaves (to 2 1/2” long). Payment must be received within 3 days after the purchase, then I dispatch the item. Feel free to ask me any questions about this item. I am always glad to help you. I prefer to send plants on beginning of the week, but during spring time almost every day. Should you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me at any time.
