1997 Tams England HP Hewlett Packard DADCON Distributed Applications Developers Conference Coffee Mug Cup This is a 12 ounce coffee mug Made in England by Tams for the 1997 Hewlett Packard DADCON Distributed Application Developers Conference held in Colorado. The mug features the HP logo on the front, DADCON on the side opposite the handle, and the conference logo on the back side. The mug is in new unused condition with bright gold graphics. Tams Pottery's history can be traced back to 1865 with the formation of Tams Lowe, which had been run by John Tams and William Lowe. Following the partnership's split in 1875, John Tams founded his own company with his son, John Tams Son Ltd. in 1875 and operated from the Crown Pottery factory in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The company changed its name to John Tams Ltd. in 1912. In April, the company became Tams Group Ltd. but went into receivership and finally closed in 2006. Some of their pieces are considered higly collectible, and all are sought after for their quality and durability.
