1982 Vintage Photo Postcard of Kiruna Sweeden This QSL Card was sent by "Jack Berg" QSO Ham Radio Call Letters SM2IXB from Svappavaara Sweden. This beautiful and significantly historic Touristey photo postcard features a hilltop view of Kiruna, and as printed on the back side, states that is is; "the world's largest city in area". The back side contains very interesting information about Kiruna and the mine, which is stated to have a slab of ore 100 yards thick and about three miles long going vertically into the earth to depth of a mile. It is estimated that ought to last a couple of hundred years. Handwritten date of October 8 1982 (10-8-82) or it could be August 10, 1982 as European countries always write the day first then the month. But it is not DX Stamped until May 1984, so it took a while for this QSO to go out. The edges of the card are cleanly cut with a wave cut edge, and on the front of the postcard along the bottom edge is a white sticker containing the Amateur radio operators information, address and call letters. This beautiful photo postcard has a lot of historical information and would be a nice addition to any world travels photo postcard collection, or of interest to any history buff. CONDITION: Near mint condition. Corners almost no wear. No pin holes, stains or smudges.
