Item description

This is a small promotional pad for the now defunct company Ask Computer Systems. It measures 4.25 x 3.5 inches. ASK Computer Systems, founded in 1972 by Sandra Kurtzig, was an early pioneer in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software with its product MANMAN, targeting manufacturing businesses. The company grew rapidly in the 1980s, going public in 1981, and expanding to 91 offices in 15 countries at its peak. However, financial difficulties emerged in the mid-1980s, leading to a decline in ASK's market position. Despite efforts to revitalize the company, including the acquisition of Ingres Corporation and restructuring into ASK Group, Inc., ASK continued to struggle against increasing competition. Ultimately, ASK Computer Systems was acquired by Computer Associates in 1994, marking the end of its independent operations.
